The conditions below summarise Sicily by Car's official rental terms for Italy. Full contractual terms are signed at the counter on collection; the Italian-law version of the rental agreement prevails over this summary.
Rates Include

Rates Do NOT Include
FOR ALL CAR GROUPS: Client must possess one non-electronic credit card with embossed numbers registered under their name.

- Refuelling service charge: EUR 25.00 + Airport charges + VAT
- Fines, fuel, extra charges

Minimum and Maximum Age
Minimum age: 23 years. Drivers aged 19+ may rent groups A1/B/C/M1 upon payment of young driver fee of EUR 21.20 + charges + VAT per day. Drivers aged 21+ may rent selected groups. Maximum age: 82 years.
Required Driving License
Groups A1/B/C: license held for at least 1 year and 1 day. All other groups: minimum 3 years. Original driving license required — digital licenses not accepted.
Rental Guarantee / Deposit
A credit card pre-authorization is required. Only international credit cards (Visa/Mastercard/AmEx) accepted. No cash or checks. Standard groups deposit (without protection): EUR 200. With Car Protection Plus or Super Gold: EUR 100. Van groups (G/U/GW/UW) without protection: EUR 1,000. With Car Protection Plus: EUR 400. With Super Gold: EUR 200.
Fuel Policy — Full to Full
Vehicle delivered with full tank. If not returned full, customer charged for missing fuel + EUR 25.00 refuelling fee + charges + VAT.
Out of Hour Fee
Within 1 hour after closing: EUR 35.33 + charges + VAT. More than 1 hour after closing: EUR 70.00 + charges + VAT.
Late Returns
Grace period of 59 minutes. After that, 1 extra rental day will be charged.
Accessories
Baby seat / Ski rack: EUR 34.00 + VAT + 16% per rental. One-way fee: EUR 80.00 + VAT + 16% for most groups. Sardinia one-way: EUR 400.00 + charges + VAT.
Extra Drivers
EUR 7.07 + charges + VAT per day. Maximum 3 drivers including main driver.
Customer Liability — Damage/Theft Penalties
Standard groups — Theft/Fire: EUR 1,600–2,500. Damage: EUR 1,200–2,200. Premium groups (X/L/P/PW) — Theft/Fire: EUR 4,000. Damage: EUR 3,500.
Optional Coverage
Car Protection Plus: EUR 10.28–20.31/day. Eliminates damage and theft penalties. Pai Plus: EUR 6.50/day. Covers windows, tires, underbody + personal accident insurance. Super Gold Protection: EUR 18.76–39.57/day. Full elimination of all penalties (except Campania/Puglia theft). Road Assistance Plus: EUR 3.45/day.
Cross Border
Vehicles may be driven in: Italy, Portugal, Spain, Andorra, France, UK, Ireland, Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Slovenia, Croatia, and others. Driving in non-authorised countries is strictly forbidden.
Complaints
Any complaints must be received within 20-30 days of rental completion. Rates and conditions subject to change without prior notice.
